Lamb Steaks
This simple recipe serves 2 people (assuming 1x steak each) serve with your choice of sides for a simple, mid week, healthy feast.
Ingredients
2 Sugarloaf Lamb Steaks
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinate the Lamb: In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the lamb steaks. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator for more intense flavour.
Cook the Lamb: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the lamb steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare.
Rest and Serve: Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with a side of grilled vegetables, a Greek salad, or some couscous for a complete Mediterranean meal.
